Crochet Bookshelf Pattern
The Bookshelf
With your light brown yarn and the 3 mm hook, chain 26.
Note that every row ends with a ch1 then turn.
Row 1: starting the 2nd loop from the hook: 25 sc (25)
Row 2 to 40: 25 sc (25)
Cut yarn and fasten off. The rectangle you get should be around 11,4 cm tall, 8 cm wide. This will be the “wooden” back panel of our bookshelf.

For the sides panels: chain 9.
Row 1: starting the 2nd loop from the hook: 8 sc (8)
Row 2 to 45: 8 sc (8)
Don’t cut the yarn. The rectangle you get should be around 13,3 cm tall, 2,8 cm wide. Make 2 side panels this way.
We will now work the edge of the side panels to make it sturdy. Grab your craft wire, we will work the edges around the wire (see pictures below). Chain 1 then sc around the rectangle, make sure to make 3sc in each corner to round them and give them a better shape. Do the same for the other side panel.

Hide the wire under the stitches, when you’re done, cut the yarn and fasten off. The side panels are longer than the back panel of the book shelf.
Time to sew the side panels to the back one. Hold the the side panel perpendicularly to the back panel, and sew them together, leaving the edges we just made untouched because it has to stick out of the shelf, to give it a more realistic look.

Cut the yarn and weave in all ends when done sewing.
The shelves – Crochet Bookshelf Pattern
With your light brown yarn and the 3 mm hook, chain 7. Note that you should join every round with a sl st.
Round 1: starting the 2nd loop from the hook: 5 sc, (4 sc in the last stitch), continue working on the other side of the chain: 4 sc, (3 sc in the last stitch – it’s the one we started this round with) (16)
Round 2: 16 sc BLO (16)
From now on we will stop joining rounds with a sl st, we’re working amigurumi style:
R3 to 25: 16 sc (16)
At round 25, join round with a sl st at the end. Insert the wooden craft stick inside the shelf, cut it to fit in, if needed.
R26: 16 sc BLO (16)
Cut the yarn and fasten off. With a yarn needle, close the hole in a clean way, to reproduce the same shape as the other side of the shelf (where we started). The shelf should be 7,5 cm x 2,5 cm, with a thickness of 0,5 cm.

Make 3 of them in total, then sew them in the book shelf.

The Books – Crochet Bookshelf Pattern
With your amigurumi cotton yarn and the 3 mm crochet hook, ch 11.
Note that every row ends with a ch1 then turn.
Row 1: starting the 2nd loop from the hook: 10 sc (10)
Row 2 to 6: 10 sc (10)
Chain 1 then sl st around the book, make sur to make a ch1 in each corner of the book while slip stitching around. Cut yarn and weave in ends.

The Pages
With your thicker white cotton yarn and the 4 mm crochet hook, ch 4.
Row 1: starting the 2nd loop from the hook: 3 sc (3)
Row 2 to 5: 3 sc (3)
Cut yarn and weave in ends.

Fold the book’s cover in 2 and glue the pages inside (see picture below).

Make a total of 12 books, you can also embellish them with some DMC threads.
The Plant – Crochet Bookshelf Pattern
The Flower Pot
With your amigurumi cotton yarn and the 3 mm crochet hook, make a magic circle.
Note that you should join every round with a slip stitch.

R3: (1sc, inc) BLO x 6 (18)
R4 to 7: 18 sc (18)
R8: 18 sl st (18)

With your green amigurumi cotton yarn and the 3 mm crochet hook, chain 6.
Row 1: starting the 2nd loop from the hook: 1 sc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dc, (1 sc, 1 dc, 1 sc) in the last stitch, continue working on the other side of the chain: 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 sc, sl st in the 1st sc of the round (11)
