The donut

We will start making the bottom biscuit first:

Note: sl st in the 1st stitch of the round at the end each time.

Round 1: 15 sc (15)

Round 2: 15 sc inc (30)

R3: (4 sc, sc inc) x 6 (36)

R4: (sc inc, 5) x 6 (42)

Cut yarn and weave in the ends.

With little pieces of several colors of yarn and the help of a yarn needle, make the sprinkles on the icing.

Sew or glue the icing on the bottom biscuit.

With little pieces of several colors of yarn and the help of a yarn needle, make the sprinkles on the chocolate icing. Then sew the icing on the top of the ice cream, sew it in a way where the chocolate covers the sides of the ice cream.

The little ice cream stick:

Ch 3, starting from the 2nd loop from the hook.

Row 1 to 3: 2 sc (2)

The Bubble Tea

The bottom of the drink:

The lid

Ch 13, starting from the 2nd loop from the hook:

Now working the first side edge: ch 1, 4 sc, cut yarn and make an invisible join in the 2nd skipped stitched from row 2. Join yarn on the other side edge: 4 sc, cut yarn and make an invisible join in the top stitch. Make an invisible join in the 2nd skipped stitch on the other side too, with the piece of yarn from your slipknot.

Weave in the ends. Sew the lid on top of the bottom, at the front of it.

The little straw and the bubbles:

Ch 5, starting from the second loop from the hook: make 4 sl st. Cut yarn and sew the straw on the lid.

Cut little round pieces of the brown felt fabric, then glue them on the bottom of the drink.

The Pop Corn

The Bag

With the red yarn: ch 9, starting from the 2nd loop from the hook:

R1: 7 hdc, (hdc inc, sl st) in the last stitch (10)

Cut yarn and make an invisible join on the back of the chain base.

R2: switch color to white: join yarn with a BLO hdc in the 1st stitch of previous row, 7 hdc BLO, (hdc inc, sl st) BLO in the last stitch. Make an invisible join.

Repeat row 2 four more times, switching colors every other row. At the last row, instead of making a sl st in the last stitch, make a ch1 and an invisible join in the 7th stitches of the row.

Weave in all the ends.

The actual pop corn

Make a magic circle.

Round 1: with the yellow yarn: 5 sc, sl st in the 1st stitch at the end (5)

Round 2: switch to the color white: (1 sc, 3 dc, 1 sc) x 3, 2 sc (17)

Cut yarn and make an invisible join.

Make 3 pop corn this way and sew them together before sewing them on the top of the bag.

The cup of coffee (my favorite one)

First, let’s make the tiny bit of coffee we see in the cup, so with the light brown yarn:

Ch 11, starting from the 2nd loop from the hook make 10 hdc.

Cut yarn. Put this aside for now, we will get back to it later.

Now we will start making the cup:

Ch 8

Row 1: sc dec, 3 sc, sc dec (5)

Row 2: sc dec, 1 sc, sc dec (3)

R3: sc inc, 1 sc, sc inc (5)

R4: sc inc, 1 sc, sc inc, 1 sc, sc inc (8)

R5: sc inc, 6 sc, sc inc (10)

R6 to 7: 10 sc (10)

R8: sc inc, 8 sc, sc inc (12)

R9: 1 hdc, 10 sl st, 1 hdc (12)

R10: 1 hdc – now take back your coffee piece, we will crochet in its stitches to join it to the cup – 10 FLO sc in the coffee stitches, 1 hdc in the last stitch of the cup (12) (don’t cut yarn!)

Sew the bottom of the coffee piece to the 10 sl st of the cup from row 9.

We will now work the handle of the cup: ch 8, sl st 4 rows below on the side of the cup, ch 1 then turn to slip stitch in each of the ch 8 (8 sl st).

Embellish your cup with some little embroidered flower and 4 sl st on the bottom of the cup, like I did myself.

The cozy’s “belt” – How to crochet a kawaii mug cozy, tumbler cozy

Ch 59 (or more, or less, depending on your own tumbler or mug dimensions).

Row 1: Starting from the 2nd loop from the hook: 58 hdc (58)

Row 2 to 4: 58 hdc (58)

Cut yarn.

Assembling the different pieces together

Take your donut and the belt. Sew one side of the belt to one side of the donut, and the other side of the belt to the other side of the donut, leaving the donut hole uncovered behind by the belt.

Then sew or glue all the pieces on the belt, leaving a similar space between each of them. If you want a cozy mug that you can tie (instead of sliding it), add a sew-on snap button or some Velcro tape on the belt and on the back of the donut.
