DIY Lemon bookmark crochet
Starting every row with a ch 1 then turn.
With the white yarn.
Ch 31, starting from the 2nd loop:
Row 1: 30 sc (30)
Row 2: 4 sc, sc dec, (3 sc, dec) x 4, 4 sc (27)

R6: sc5tog, 1 sl st, sc5tog (3)
Sew the two sc5tog together to close the middle and make a right angle.
Make two of these and sew the angled part together. Don’t sew the rounded part, we will crochet the two pieces together.
Pick your yellow yarn, we will join the rounded parts together by crocheting rows into them.
Join yarn with a sc in the two 1st stitches of the rounded parts. (go through the 2 stitches at the same time)
Row 1: (2 sc, sc inc, 2 sc) x 6 (36)
Row 2: (sl st, ch 1) repeat this until the end of the row (you should have a total of 36 sl st and 35 ch 1)
Cut yarn and weave in the ends.

Cut yarn and leave a tail for sewing.
Small Leaf
Ch 10, starting from the 3rd loop from the hook:
Row 1: 2 dc, 3 tr, 1 dc, 1 hdc, (1 sc, ch 1, 1 sc) in the next stitch, continue working on the other side of the chain base: 1 hdc, 1 dc, 3 tr, 2 dc, ch 2 then sl st in the 1st loop we worked on.
Cut yarn and leave a tail for sewing.
Sew the leaves on the back of the lemon.
The tab – DIY Lemon bookmark crochet
First, slide the wire inside the lemon in an upside down U shape as shown in the picture below, near the rounded part:
Make sure that the wire is far inside the lemon to keep it as sturdy as possible when holding the wire by itself.
Once it’s done, twirl the two sides of the wire together as shown above.
With your mercerized thin yarn, and the 2 mm hook, ch 56. Starting the 2nd loop from the hook, and by working the stitches around the wire, make:
Row 1: 55 hdc (55)
Cut yarn and leave a tail for sewing. Sew the tab to the lemon, making sure to hide the wire. At the opposite side, hide the hanging wire inside the stitches on the back.
With this, you’re finally done! By playing with colors, you can turn this lemon into a slice of orange or grapefruit.
